I almost didn’t join… then we won.
Ever felt like you don’t belong in the room?
What an AI hackathon, crow pose, and chaos taught me about stepping forward anyway.
Have you ever had that moment when you question whether you belong in the room, asking, 'Why am I here?’
Where something in you hesitates…not because you don’t have the capability, but because the inner narrative gets there first.
I had that moment this week.
And it showed up right in the middle of what most people would call internal chaos, asking us to go beyong our comfort zone.

But Chaos is not the antagonist. It is our evolution.
I say this a lot… because I’ve lived it.
And right now?
It might feel like the world is going a little… chaotic.
But internally, this is actually a very potent time. A creative one.
Here’s the part most people miss:
If you can learn to master you, just you, no one else, you unlock something extraordinary.
Not by controlling everything around you…
But by learning how to work with what’s happening within you.
And this is where it starts.
Your breath.
Your breath—your prana (life force)- is one of the fastest ways to shift your state. Not in a vague way, but physiologically.
When you slow your exhale, even slightly, your body registers safety. Your mind has a chance to follow.
And from there, you regain access to something most people lose in moments like this:
Clarity.
Choice.
Creativity.
I see this every week in my yoga classes.
This week, we played with the crow pose.
Pushing beyond your comfort zone
Finding your center of gravity & trust
It’s one of my favourites—but it asks something of you.
You have to:
find your centre of gravity
trust your body
lean forward… even when it feels like you might fall
Sound familiar?
Because that’s exactly what chaos asks of us: Breathe, squeeze into the midline, lean forward and play through the chaos.
And how we meet ourselves on the mat is how we meet ourselves in life.
And I've seen everyone in my new yoga class meet their internal chaotic voice and step up magnificently 👏
This week—my birthday week —I went to Avebury Henge and Stone Circle on Friday (see image above), but earlier this week I found myself in a different kind of chaos, and I still needed to lean in.
An AI hackathon.
(For context—teams come together to build an idea in just a few hours. Fast. Intense. Slightly mad.)
I went with zero intention of joining a team.
“I’m not an engineer or Data Scientist.”
“I can’t build anything.”
“I’ll just observe.”
And then…
I found myself in a team. And the team said:
“We can build something… but we have no idea what.”
I smiled.
Because ideas?
That’s my space.
So I brought in what I love most— how humans actually behave.
Behavioural psychology. Patterns. Insight.
We built something around that.
And… we won.
Not because I suddenly became an engineer.
But because I stopped questioning whether I belonged in the room.
And that’s my invitation to you:
Question who you think you are.
Especially if something in you is shifting right now. Because we’re not just in a moment of change, it feels like we’re stepping into a new way of being.
So instead of resisting the chaos…
What if you worked with it?
Start simple.
Start with your breath.
Let your system settle enough… So your truth can rise, and here’s something to help.
A Ritual to reveal your next step - identity
I’ve created a short birthday (solar return) ritual for you. Actually…
I created it for myself, but I loved it so much, I thought I would share it with this beautiful community, as I know you are also committed to your growth. (see below, or reach out if you would like a PDF version).
Grab a journal, some soft music and 10/15 minutes to:
Reconnect with your ‘higher self who is here on a mission this lifetime’
Clear what’s ready to go
Take one step towards what’s next - a new identity.
Before you begin, just come back to your breath. Slow it slightly. Let it guide you in.
If you find it hard to drop in, start with a short guided meditation (download the free Insight Time app), then move into the ritual.
Why Now?
We’re in strong Aries energy right now.
Fire.
Initiation.
Movement.
Powerful—if you channel it. Less fun if you don’t 😉 So let it move through you - not burn you! Embody and step into your most empowered self!

That’s where your magic is.
