When Calm Becomes an Act of Rebellion

These past six weeks have been… something else.
I’ve found myself laughing — and occasionally crying — at the sheer absurdity of chaos, challenges, and passive aggression flying my way.

From online trolls throwing projections my way and, when I stood firm against his bullying and intimidation, he called me racist — WTF. Talk about shadow work and projection!…

…to navigating hidden agendas in my “muggle” work life — it’s been a wild test of boundaries, integrity, and resilience.

I kept hearing that Green Day lyric looping in my head:

“If I tolerate this, then our children will be next.”

Standing calm in the middle of Chaos.

What did I do?

At first, I shrank away. Then my inner Kali rose — fierce, protective, ready to breathe fire. But then I did something my younger self wasn’t yet capable of:

  • I paused.

  • I breathed.

  • I placed my hand on my heart.

From there, I reclaimed my power.
Pause for Power.

And from that calm, curious, and grounded place, I responded — guided by a mantra I shared last month, which I tweaked.

“I Vow To Be The Observer, Observing, Being Observed. I Come Home to Calm, Even In This Chaos.”

Image: The observer, observing, being observed. How to navigate consciousness, a saying by Deepak Chopra

In all of this chaos, I’ve had to reset — again and again.

This month, I’ve felt both deeply alone in places I thought were safe, and profoundly held in unexpected ways. But I had two anchors that helped me come home.

The anchors: That simple message above… and some timely support.

My beautiful soul sisters circle rallied around me when the energy felt too heavy to clear alone.

The Grrrr Band — a group of sacred rebels devoted to compassion, growth, and aligning our human messiness with our soul’s wisdom… and having a laugh while we do it. (Because honestly, if there’s no joy or laughter, we’re missing the point.)

The invitation:
👉🏽 To look another way.
To notice what’s quietly supporting you, and when you need to ask for support, even amidst chaos.

Because it’s not always the big explosions that break us — it’s the small, invisible straws we don’t notice piling up.
And yet… we can always come home.

🌿 Free Online Session: Come Home to Calm

I’ve missed being of service and I used these tools to help me centre and find calm within.

So, as I prepare to open my yoga classes next year, I’m offering this free 60-minute online session — a soft landing for your nervous system.

This isn’t a workshop or a lecture.
No heavy teaching, no science talk (I promise I’ll resist!).
Just an experience — a journey back to your calm centre through gentle yoga, breath, vagus-nerve activation, and visualisation.

It’s grounded in over seven years of exploration — neuroscience, somatics, yoga, and emotional resilience — but what you’ll feel is simply this:

✨ A return to yourself.
✨ A remembering of your power.
✨ A reset of your state.

(And yes, I’ll even resist the temptation to bring out my shamanic drum… this time 😉).

💌  My invitation for reflection & discernment:

As I always say: As within, so without.
But discernment is key. Not every battle is ours.

Sometimes the real power lies in witnessing — being the calm, compassionate observer rather than the warrior.

Because, as Gandhi reminded us,

“An eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind.”

Reflections:

  • So, how is chaos showing up for you lately?

  • Where might you be called to soften, pause, and return home to yourself before you act?

  • How will you release heavy energy, because carrying it will make you ill?

I’d love for you to join me — and let me hold space for your reset, just as others have done for me.

Remember:

Calm isn’t giving up. It’s taking your power back.

With flow, grace, and compassionate curiosity,

With Moonbeams

Nila
